This is the most torturous thing I've ever been through! I have 28 days until Milo is due, and though that really is no time at all, it still seems like an eternity! I just want to meet my little alien baby (don't think I'm rude, just come watch my stomach and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about). This is definitely the most exciting, yet scary thing that has ever happened to me. I'm sure Jacques would say the same. I'm really excited to see my two boys together - they're going to be BFFs, and I know Jacques is going to be an awesome daddy. He painted the baby's room the weekend before last by himself, and it looks so good. We both go in there and just sit sometimes... I hope the babe likes it as much as we do. We still have to get the crib and furniture, and get it set up, but we know what (in general) we want, it's just a matter of which place we've looked we're going to get it from.
I have my last baby shower this weekend with a few family members, friends from my old neighborhood and ward, and friends from school. I'm excited, but also kinda bummed because I've really enjoyed spending some time with people I haven't seen for a while at my showers. In fact, every single one of my mom's siblings except for one were at my family shower two weekends ago, and 3 of them had traveled from out-of-state. I can't remember the last time all of them were together like that. I was kindof hesitant about my uncle coming to the shower, but after it was over, I was REALLY glad he was there because he played with the little kids (crazy Noah, Jaycie, and William). He kept them entertained and under control so all of the ladies could enjoy themselves. I forgot how good he is with little kids.
I've got 3 weeks left of work (maybe less, depending on what the doctor says at my weekly appointments or just how miserable in general I am). I'm excited, but we've been working on this new project that I'm actually (surprisingly) really stoked about. I was completely against it when it was first brought up, but now that we've gotten into it, practice, etc, I'm actually excited. I get to be a part of it for 1-2 weeks, then I'm gone. Oh well, at least it'll be some sort of small change/something different to kindof look forward to in my last little bit there for a while.
As much as I've actually liked being pregnant, besides just wanting my baby to be here, I am SO over it now. I miss my body, I miss being able to eat things that maybe aren't so healthy now and then without feeling like a bad mom haha, I want to be able to walk without waddling, climb the stairs without getting completely winded, AND.... I miss sleep soooo much. The past week or two, I have just become so constantly uncomfortable both awake and asleep. It gets so bad at night that I hardly sleep at all. I'm constantly awake, repositioning, peeing, repositioning....it never ends. I know that I'm going to get a lot less sleep once Milo's here, but I also know that at least I'll be comfortable when I do get sleep. Sigh... 28 days, Chante - 28 days (or so... PLEASE don't be late!!). You'll be fine. Having this baby here will make it allllll worth it. Plus, you can make him do the dishes and clean up Kiwi's poo when he's big enough bwahahaha! ;)

8 more weeks!
...and so starts Week 32 of waiting for baby Milo to finally get here. We still need to paint his room so we can go buy the crib and stuff. I'm excited to decorate/put together his nursery!
Tomorrow is the first out of a few baby showers coming up in the next month, and I'm so excited I can't stand it! I love baby showers, period, but when it's finally your own it's just that much more special and fun.
In all of the things I've read throughout this pregnancy, they weren't lying when they said the 1st and 3rd trimesters are the hardest. The 1st sucked so badly because I was so sick. The 2nd was awesome, really no issues at all except for starting to have to go pee all the time. The 3rd has really started kicking my ass because I'm just completely worn out and dead tired ALL the time, and I'm also starting to get really, really sore. I know that it's just going to get worse, and I try not to complain, but some days it's just not fun at all and I already want him here and now that I'm hurting and so tired, I just want it that much more.
I'm so excited to meet this little babe, and I've already been picturing what he might look like. Jacques told me the other day that he hopes he has blue eyes and dark hair, which is exactly what I've said I hope he has!
He's been getting the hiccups like crazy the past couple weeks, sometimes up to 3 times a day. It's cute at first, but then it gets a bit annoying and I mostly feel bad for him because I HATE the hiccups so I feel for him. He's also started pushing his back up really hard against my stomach, so I've been rubbing his back (sometimes for 20-30 minutes at a time) and he loves it! It's so weird, but so cute. Jacques' mom said he used to do that, too. I love when I can feel his tiny little arm pushing against me, or even his boney little elbows and knees jabbing me. It still blows my mind that there is a person inside of me when I actually think about it and watch him do his little acrobatics and my stomach goes all crazy. I can't wait to be the mommy to a little boy, though - it's going to be so fun, and so different from what I'm used to (which is a family FULL of girls!).
If anyone remembers to bring a camera to my shower tomorrow, I'll post some pictures. I can't wait for all the tiny, cute stuff we'll be getting for this little boy, and so appreciative of everyone who's gone out of their way to help us out, and make this a special time for us. I genuinely appreciate people's goodness and thoughtfulness.

3 months!
So, today marks 3 months until Milo is officially due! Buuuut, Jacques and I aren't too keen on having him born on 4/20, for many lame reasons. I think I'm going to start going with the due date my doctor told me the ultrasound people gave her, because it's only two days off: April 22nd. Not that I'm even counting on this little dude being on time....what baby ever is, really? Either way, my little boy will be here in 3 months, and I couldn't be more excited. I think we're going to stay in our house, at least for a while, so that means we can start putting his room together. This will be the longest, yet also fastest 3 months ever. Total contradiction, I know, but you know what I mean...

Milo Samuel Gonzalo Garcia

I never thought something could make me as happy as a baby inside of me. I'm completely in love with this little boy, and though I wish he were here more than anything already, I love that he's with me every second of the day.
I want him to be here so I can finally see what he looks like, get to know his little personality, make him smile, kiss him, and teach him things. The list could go on, but I'll leave it at that for now.
I'm beyond grateful to have Jacques in my life, especially as my husband and the father of my son. I couldn't ask for a better person to start a family with, and I'm so excited for this adventure we're going to share. I have no doubt that it will be hard, but more and more we've proven that we're a great team (sounds cheesy, we know), and I think we'll be awesome parents. I love him, and I'm so glad that we are at the point we are in our relationship. I honestly don't know what I'd do without him.
We're naming the baby Milo, and yes - he's going to have two middle names. Samuel: after my dad, Gonzalo: after Jacques' dad. Samuel could also be for my great-grandpa, who I wish could be here to see this happening.
I think I'm going to cry, so I'm ending this. Milo is kicking, and I'm already all emotional spilling my feelings about Jacques and being a mom... it's been a while since I posted, so I figured I'd "announce" his name. Plus, I really hated my blog before, but I finally fixed it up and I'm liking how it's looking.

IT'S A BOY!
A sweet, tiny little boy who I know someday will be running around our house a million miles an hour, falling down, scraping his knees, getting gross goob everywhere, pretending to be Tom Brady (Jacques can only hope!), cuddling with his mommy (because he WILL be a momma's boy), saying funny/naughty things that I'll try not to laugh at but will write down so we never forget, putting on crazy outfits (like snowboots, undies, and oven mitts) and insisting on wearing them in public..........and the list could go on.
I'm so excited! A boy is what I had my heart set on at first, but after a couple months I decided I was totally okay with either a boy or a girl. Jacques wanted a girl, but when we found out it was a boy ("Yep - those are definitely little boy parts!"), the look on his face let the world know he was totally okay with a boy.
We've pretty much come to a decision on the name....at least it's the one we keep coming back to, but people that we've told just call him by that, so I think it's stuck. For now, I'll say it's the name of a singer of a band we like, BUT not on purpose.... we just both realized that name was this certain guy's name, which is definitely okay because he's a good guy, a brilliant guy, a very talented guy....just not the most handsome guy haha. A song by that band came on this morning on my shuffle while I was driving to work, and the baby started kicking me right then, which I knew wasn't because of that song but I pretended it was because it was cute and made me laugh.
Jacques is amazing with me being pregnant - I was worried he might be weirded out or something, but he says he loves my pregnant body and he's incredibly sweet and nice to me (not that he's not normally, just an extra lot now). Yesterday I was in the bathroom getting ready, and he came in and kissed me, then kissed my tummy... I'm excited to share this amazing adventure with him, because I know he'll be a good dad.

The suspense is killing me...

November 30th can't come soon enough!
Why, you ask?
The reason that November 30th needs to be here right this minute is because we find out what our baby is! (No, not if it's an otter or the spawn of Satan - if it's a boy or a girl!)
I'm so excited and anxious to find out I feel like I'm going to burst.
I love this teeny tiny person inside me, even though they ALWAYS kick me right at dinner time and make me not feel so swell.
I love that I can feel its strong TINY feet kicking me, and can feel it moving around often.
I love that I can tell just how tiny its feet are when it kicks me.
I love that Jacques loves my pregnant body and brings me water when I puke.
I love that my morning sickness is gooooone, and I just get the occasional weird "I think I might puke" moments, but I don't actually end up doing it.
I love my little belly, but I sure do miss my normal clothes. I feel so....unfashionable (?) now.
I love that Kiwi puts her paw on my tummy, or rests her head on it like she's protecting the babe - she knows something sweet and tiny is in there.
I love Jacques most of all - I'm so excited for our little family-to-come.
He's the best friend anyone could ask for, even though he makes me play the air bass in front of people because he says "It's so cute, and I like the little smile you get when you do it, and how you shrug your shoulder up too!". I guess I can forgive him for basically mocking me because he really just thinks it's cute. <3
